How long does my hair have to be for dreadlocks?

We ask that if your hair is straight it be 5 inches long, textured hair can be about 3 inches stretched.

My hair is straight and soft, can I still get dreadlocks?

We take pride in being able to lock ALL hair types!

My hair is fine or thinning, can I still get dreadlocks?

We have methods that can add fullness to the overall look of your dreadlocks, a consultation with one of our specialists can go over options with you!

How often will I need maintenance?

We suggest you get your roots maintenanced every 6-12 weeks, to maintain the shape and neatness.

Can I wash my hair?

Absolutely! We recommend washing at least once a week. Depending on your lifestyle you may need to wash more or less, if the hair is dirty- wash it!

Can I condition or oil my hair?

Yes, if your hair is feeling extra dry you can condition or oil in moderation. We reccommend doing this about once a month, using a clean and light conditioner.

What kind of products do I use?

We only use products with zero residue, we carry Knotty Boy, Davines, and The Grateful Dreadhead. Lots of options including shampoo, sprays, and oils!

Will my scalp be itchy?

Some people will experience itchy scalp with dreadlocks. We carry a good selection of tonics, oils, and scalp sprays to combat the itch!

How long does it take to install dreadlocks?

For a full head of new dreadlocks we book you out for 8 hours, feel free to bring snacks! We usually take breaks if the service takes the full amount of time allowing you to step out and accommodate your needs.
